Sleep, shopping, work

Thats about what my day consisted of today. Not too shabby. I went to bed when I got home, and slept for awhile, it was nice. I have been sleeping only a few hours at a time for awhile and it was begining to catch up with me. It was nice to get a good rest.

When I woke up I had to run to a few errands. Went to wal mart to get even more baking goods. :) They boyfriend swears I’m trying to fatten him up lol. I just like baking and eating them too! I bought 2 huge jars of PB. Yummy! I also picked up the goods for our hot apple pie cocktail that I am making for a party on Wed.

When I got home I cleaned up the house a little and then made some grub. We had some spicy sausage dip with yellow corn chips.

this pic may have been taken after we ate :)

this pic may have been taken after we ate :)

1/2 lb spicy sausage
1/2 C salsa
2 1/2 inch slices velveeta
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 C sour cream
dash cayenne, chili powder, garlic salt, pepper, onion pwd
add more spices to taste
Brown sausage in skillet, reduce heat to almost medium, add remaining ingredients. Stir frequently until melted. Serve warm with chips of choice.
I have no idea about the WW points for this dip, all I know is that it is yummy! But it would be very easy to lighten up…use turkey sausage or a nonmeat sausage, 2% velveeta, use 1/2 can cheese soup, reduced fat or fat free sour cream. add more salsa and less cheese. voila! its lightened up. Serve with baked tortilla chips.
I also brought some plentiful produce to work for a snack since we have sooo much fruit at home
d'anju pear and a clementine...plus one more clementine :)

I also brought some wheat thins with fiber…not sure of the exact name, but they are garden veggie flavor and delish!
Ok well have a good day/night whenever it is for you. Til next time…

Christmas time!!

Posted on December 13, 2009 at 11:08 pm in

Hello there. Christmas time is upon us, and I am sooo excited! I love love love Christmas.

On the food front today I had

fruit tasting with the girls (I was introducing new fruits to them, so fun)

we had kiwi, an orange, a clementine, a d’anju pear, a banana, a fuji apple (my fav)

they liked them all and had fun, not too mention actually tried new things (gasp!)

I also ate waay too many no bake cookies goo that stuck to the wax paper because I didnt boil it long enough… hehe my bad

and some corn flake wreaths. we dont always have the correct ingredients for things so I “make it work”. these were a prime example. no corn flakes, no worries, just take the strawberries out of daddies Special K berries….sorry daddy :) no red hots, no sweat just open 25 packs of halloween sweet tarts and pick out all the pink ones…guilty. the point is we had fun and they turned out delicious anyways.

i officially love cooking with the kids…i may come to regret that statement lol.

we also went to Buffalo Wild Wings (www.buffalowildwings.com) today. yum. oh, we were having a discussion about calling the place BW3’s. we both call it that but have no idea why since there is only 2 W’s. does anyone know why its called that?

anyways, we all shared the ultimate nachos, and I had buffalitos with medium sauce and some onion rings. yummo. I usually get wings but decided to mix it up tonight, It was a good choice, I will get those again, but I want to try different sauces. They might even be good sans sauce.

thats all I’ve had today. I brought a banana and a clementine to work for a snack tonight.

I almost forgot to tell you about “Christmas by Candlelight”. We drove through this lighted christmas um thing tonight with the kiddies. It was in town at the collesium(wow I have no idea how to spell that word). 6 bucks a car aint too bad and we ooo and ahhed our way through the drive through park for about 20 mins. My favorite part was the “lake” it had blue lights around it to make the water then there were lit up boats and even a loch ness monster, so cool. they boyfriend liked the lights that “moved”. There was carriage with wheels that “moved” and deer “running”. The girls like everything!!! It was actually pretty neat. I would like to go to the zoo this year too. We will see…

Hope eveyone has had a good day.

Til next time…
